EB-5 Visa for Iranians
Iran is one of the best amongst Arab countries. As the county is rapidly growing and being top in several businesses, there are also high numbers of high net worth individuals there. Iran is famous for its culture, cuisine and as tourist attractions though due to various reasons people are moving to countries like the USA.
One of the reasons to move the USA or any country is personal freedom as Iran do have some strict public behavioral antiquates. Apart from that political issues and safety concerns boost the migrations of people to the USA.
There are many other visas but for Iranians often it’s difficult because there are some extra precautionary measurements specifically designed for them like the special permission required from the OFAC and much more. Hence the EB-5 scheme turns out to be the boon for them as it overcomes these hurdles.
EB-5 Visa Requirements
The EB-5 has two main requirements.
- An investor needs to make an investment into any of USA business either it’s New Commercial Enterprise or troubled business amounting to US $1.8 million plus the processing overhead cost, legal and filing fees. But in case of the investment is in a rural area the amount is reduced to US $900,000 plus the processing overhead cost, legal and filing fees.
- The investment should be able to generate 10 full-time jobs for the USA citizens.
EB-5 Visa Process
The investor must have to file I-526 petition along with data of investment made and other required information as asked by the scheme’s provisions. On approval of the said petition investor and his immediate family, i.e. his spouse and children below the age of 21 will be eligible for the conditional permanent residency of the USA. To avail the benefits of the same, an investor needs to do the process to adjust the residence status. Before completion of the conditional residency, an investor needs to file form I-829 along with needed shreds of evidence. On successful submission, the individual will get the green card.
